SkyWest’s relationship with Delta Air Lines dates back to 1987, shortly after SkyWest transitioned its fleet from 19-passenger Metroliners to 30-passenger, Embraer manufactured EMB 120 Brasilias. Currently, SkyWest operates more than 1,000 daily flights for Delta from hubs in Atlanta, Georgia; Detroit, Michigan; LaGuardia, New York; Minneapolis, Minnesota and Salt Lake City, Utah.

SkyWest became a United Express carrier in 1997 with flights operating out of Los Angeles, California. SkyWest’s operates nearly 1,000 daily United Express flights from hubs including Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Houston, Texas and San Francisco, California.

SkyWest Airlines’ first American Eagle flight took off in November 2012 from the Los Angeles, California hub. Today our flights are concentrated in American’s Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles, California and Phoenix, Arizona hubs.

Our partnership with Alaska Airlines began on May 14, 2011 with the launch of daily routes along the West Coast using the 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700. On July 1, 2015, the 76-seat Embraer E175 was also added to our Alaska Airlines operation.

The relationship between SkyWest Airlines and Bombardier Aerospace began in 1987, when the Regional Jet Division of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer, Canadair Ltd., began soliciting orders for its new and radical Canadair Regional Jet. SkyWest took delivery of their first regional jet from Bombardier in 1994 and currently operates a fleet of more than 300 jets.

SkyWest utilizes the Embraer manufactured E175 and was United Airlines’ launch partner for the aircraft in 2014. For SkyWest, adding Embraer’s EMB 120 to the fleet in 1986 meant the chance to expand service and the first SkyWest flight attendants. It also offered a seamless product to SkyWest’s partners, more comfort for passengers, as well as the additional safety and service delivered by SkyWest’s InFlight team.

The Regional Airline Association (RAA) represents U.S. regional airlines and the suppliers of products and services that support the industry, before the U.S. Congress, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation and other federal and state agencies. RAA member airlines transport 90 to 95 percent of all regional airline passengers.
